Dafydd attending a parade in RAF Stormy Down with the Air Cadets. |
On the 2nd of July, I took part in a parade to remember and recognise an old local air base, RAF Stormy Down. There were roughly 400 people, ranging from RAF airmen to Politicians, like our First Minister Carwyn Jones. We all came together for the grand unveiling of a plaque, which was made to recognise the important service of RAF Stormy Down in World War Two.
To remember this in the best way we could, we held a service and parade to make the unveiling official, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Red Arrows paying their respects with a fly past afterwards.
